Franchisee governance and accountability were high on the list of our Client's reasons for wanting to audit their corporate broadcast media investment. In addition, they recognized the opportunity for local market media efficiency gains stemming from the implementation of improved media accountability tools for use by the franchise community and their regional agencies. MMI was engaged to provide ongoing National TV and Spot TV media audits, billing reconciliations and to create a system-wide benchmarking tool for the co-op boards for use in assessing the performance of their agencies against key media criteria, thus laying the groundwork for improved placement and pricing. |

Within two quarters
of launching the audit initiative, the Client realized dramatic improvements in
their agencies adherence to their media buying guidelines, under-delivery
restitution and accounts payable practices. In addition, the system-wide
benchmarking system and quarterly “report cards” have become the mechanism
against which each region and each agency measures their quarterly performance. |
